Q - How can we afford UK travel representation?
A - Exclusive Retreats has a very competitive pricing structure and we feel that we offer all of our clients’ excellent value for money for the amount of time and energy that they receive from us on sales and marketing activities.
In order to evaluate our price competitiveness, we do ask clients to consider what the cost would be to send a senior manager over to the UK for sales trips. We estimate that a two week-long sales trip to the UK would cost in excess of £4-5,000 to cover the cost of flights, accommodation for 13 nights, car hire, fuel and public transport costs, plus the general cost of living allowances that you would need to pay one of your staff.
Therefore, for 2 weeks’ presence in the UK, you are probably talking at a figure close to £5,000 which obviously excludes the amount of time and energy that is required to prepare and organise a trip, including planning appointments, etc. This time also means that the manager is not concentrating on their core role of sales and this is, therefore, costing you time and money.
Taking this into account, for not much more you would have a UK presence for 365-days a year and when putting into this context, I am sure that clients will see the value in appointing Exclusive Retreats for UK representation.
That said we fully appreciate the semi-permanent, retained sales representation option is not always desirable and as such we have developed an ad-hoc, project menu of sales services that clients can dip in and out of, as it suits their specific needs and budgets.
