The Team

The following is a “potted history” of the staff of Exclusive Retreats who between them have over 60 years experience of the travel industry. As well as the wealth of experience shared between them they also work extremely well as a team and are basically extensions of the sales & marketing teams of our clients.

Renette Hartridge - Managing Director, Exclusive Retreats

Renette Hartridge – Managing Director
A South African with more than 20 years travel promotion experience, Renette has lived in the UK for 11 years. She has a three year national diploma in Public Relations under her belt and former employers are: The North West Parks & Tourism Board, The Institute of Hotel and Tourism Management and industry giant, Sun International Resorts. Renette drives brand recognition and grows market share on behalf of our clients. She is married to an award-winning British travel trade writer and co-authored South African Tourism's UK SA Market Guide.

In the last 20 years she has been on safari in South Africa, Botswana, Zambia, Namibia, Mozambique, Malawi, Angola, Tanzania, Zanzibar, Kenya and Uganda visiting some of these several times. In the Indian Ocean she has travelled to The Maldives and in the Middle East: Egypt, Qatar, Dubai, Abu Dhabi and lived in Israel for three years. European passport stamps include: Norway, Denmark, Hungry, Italy, France, Iceland, Scotland and Ireland. Northern America is a firm favourite and trips include Vancouver, the Inner Passage of Alaska, Montreal, a California road trip, Washington, Dallas & Florida. The furthest Renette has travelled is: Mexico, Bermuda, The Caribbean, Quito and the Galapagos Archipelago.

Fiona Paul – Sales Manager
Fiona joined Exclusive Retreats in January 2005 and has now notched up over 15 years in the travel industry. Fiona’s background is predominately corporate travel including American Express Travel in various locations around the UK servicing several fast-paced accounts. A frequent traveler, Fiona has visited a number of European, Indian Ocean, Middle & Far East destinations. Fiona is a highly effective sales person who oversees Exclusive Retreats Maldives, Bali and Expedition Cruise portfolio.

Linda Wollerton – Office Support
Linda joined Exclusive Retreats in July 2003 and has a wealth of travel experience having also worked for Thomas Cook in a variety of roles including handling complaints and customer relations for the MD of Thomas Cook (no easy role that one!!). Linda provides valuable sales administration support to the team and is another keen traveler who has seen most of the world.
